Karl George MBE is a leading UK corporate governance specialist, adviser and author. A qualified accountant by background, he was appointed MBE in 2004 for services to social and business communities.

He founded The Governance Forum and developed the Governance Assessment Process (GAP) framework, endorsed by the late Sir Adrian Cadbury, alongside the Effective Board Member programmes delivered with partners across the public and private sectors.

He is the originator of the RACE Equality Code and the author of “The Effective Board Member”. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and Partner and Head of Governance at RSM UK.
